Scott L. Zimmerman

Scott graduated with honors from the University of Michigan (B.A. 1975) and the University of California (Los Angeles, M.A. 1980 and U.C. Davis School of Law, J.D. 1983).  He was Executive Editor of the U.C. Davis Law Review and recipient of the Neumiller Award for excellence in trial advocacy.  He began his legal career as a litigation associate at Irell & Manella, Century City, in business litigation, and was a partner of Sanders Barnet Goldman Simons & Mosk, Century City, before establishing the firm in 1996.  Scott has represented clients, including Fortune 500 companies, in diverse business areas of intellectual property litigation, real estate, general corporate disputes, and medical business litigation.  He has been trial counsel in numerous proceedings in California courts and before arbitration tribunals, and has argued numerous matters before the California Courts of Appeal.


Jeffrey C. Walker    

Jeff graduated with honors from the University of California, Los Angeles (B.A. 1984 and J.D. 1987).  Before co-founding the firm in 1996, Jeff was a litigation associate at Cooper Epstein & Hurewitz, Beverly Hills, and a partner of Sanders Barnet Goldman Simons & Mosk in Century City.  Jeff has represented clients in areas of intellectual property, real estate, general corporate disputes, and medical business litigation and has briefed and argued cases before the state and federal courts of appeal.  He is an elected board member of the Neighborhood Council Valley Village and the chair of its City Services Committee.

Ronald M. Monitz

Ron graduated with honors (Magna cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa, Order of the Coif)from the University of California, Los Angeles (B.A. 1976 and J.D. 1980).  Before joining the firm in 2001, Ron practiced law while associated with Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp, Los Angeles (entertainment litigation ) and as a partner at Cooper Epstein & Hurewitz, Beverly Hills (entertainment litigation) and at  Manatt Phelps & Phillips, Los Angeles (entertainment litigation department).  In addition to practicing law, Ron was active in the private sector as the Chief Operating Officer of a  the leading entertainment advertising and production assistance company.  Ron has extensive entertainment and intellectual property litigation experience, including music copyright infringement claims, recording artist publishing disputes, artist manager disputes, implied and express contract matters, sampling, copyright tribunal issues and licensing disputes. Ron has practiced in all California state and federal courts and has been admitted pro hac vice in out of state matters.
